Dr. Yusif Alghamdi holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Newcastle (UoN, Australia) in 2016, was a research fellow at the Sustainable Energy Technologies Center (SET) at King Saud University (KSU), with a solid background in multiphase flow systems.
Since 2021, Dr. Alghamdi is working at the Deputyship of Research and Innovation (DRI) in the Ministry of Education of Saudi Arabia where he was able to obtain different roles, lastly as the Acting Director of the General Department of Research Grants, working with all DRI general departments to develop MOE’s initiatives & strategies for research and innovation in Saudi universities, and a member of several national committees related to research and innovation.
Dr. Alghamdi is currently serving as the Director of National Grants Programs Development and Planning at the Research Grants and National Programs Sector in RDIA. In this role, Dr. Alghamdi plays a crucial part in supporting the launch of RDIA initiatives and is actively involved in the development of new grants programs, shaping the research landscape within KSA and contributing to the organization's overall mission.
