Professor Ian McLeod is the Executive Director, Strategy, Science and Partnerships for the General Organization for the Conservation of Coral Reefs and Turtles in the Red Sea. He is a multidisciplinary research leader with a passion for marine conservation, science communication, innovation, and applied research. Previously he was the Program Director for the Reef Restoration and Adaptation Program, the world’s largest effort to help a significant ecosystem survive climate change, based at the Australia Institute of Marine Science. He is also an Adjunct Professor at James Cook University, Australia and actively publishes in the fields of marine research, conservation, and restoration.
